MPP FiSH - Updated March 1, 2008
MPP FiSH is a plugin for MPP that allows you to have 100% private and secure conversations with your friends - in private queries and in public channels - using Diffie-Hellman 1080 bit encryption.
The encryption/decryption process is automatic and transparent to you and your trusted friends that are using MPP FiSH and shared keys.
For example, if you type:
wickedlyx is gay
Your friends will be able to read your text without doing anything (once all trusted users are using the same "shared" channel passphrase).
Everyone else see jibberish like this instead:
+OK vMWq.0pDBWT1WNoCj0l1xix1
Only you and your trusted friends will be able to read your conversations!
abstract
this package will allow secure, encrypted communications in public channels and private queries.
everyone using fish and the correct keys will automatically decrypt your encrypted messages and will be able to read them.
a channel key can only be set by one person.
you can easily exchange private keys with anyone in your nick list.
download
note: this build uses mirc 6.21 exclusively. if a new version of mirc is released and you later copy that mirc.exe to your mpp folder, fish will no longer work.
warning: this is not a pure/official release of "fish for mirc 6.21". this is a hacked exe that i am trying based on information from the fish forums. use at your own risk. so far i am not having any problems and it was scanned by symantec antivirus corporate and clamwin without any problems.

instructions
1) upgrade mpp to build 7.167 or higher
then...
2) close mpp
3) download mpp fish
4) install mpp fish
5) start mpp
6) run: /fishy
then use:
/fish 0 - disabled
/fish 1 - normal
/fish 2 - extreme
right click to adjust fish options and to set channel/nick keys.
for example, you might want to disable “encrypt outgoing” so that your messages all send out normal, but you also might want to enable “decrypt incoming” so you can read everything.
plain prefix
you can also set a "plain prefix" like: !
this would allow you to enable encrypt outgoing for all messages unless you precede it with an exclamation point, eg:
hado? - would be encrypted, only trusted users could read it.
!hado? - would send "hado?" (not the ! char) and everyone could read it normally.
caveats
this package allows you to install fish with minimal fuss.
an uninstaller is included in windows' add/remove programs.
disclaimer
your log files will probably become very, very messy.
use at your own risk
